As well as being supported by national government, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited is authorized by Guangzhou Municipal government to operate state-owned assets. It owns two listed companies (including Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Company Limited and Guangzhou Bai Yun Shan Pharmaceutical Company Limited). In addition, it has over 30 member enterprises, mainly dealing in R&D, production and marketing of chemical medicine, herbal medicine as well as biomedicines.
